PHOTO DIARY #7

#tbt- my sister and I dressing up in curtains // Lunch dates // An actual selfie!! // Cocktail time! // Links Market // So we bought marracas // obligatory dissertation photo // celebrating life // Big Kev's top tips! //

So university is like OVER!! Holy mother of god. Life begins soon. I am petrified.

1. I always forget its throwback Thursday so I've only managed one so far...I'm not one for finding photos to scan just for that reason so if I find a photo on my computer then I will instagram it! How cute we were in our curtains though? Bless.

2. Lunch with my parents is always fun. Gotta love a free lunch!

3. I'm not one for selfies either hahaha! I always feel embarrassed by posting one but hey I had made an effort for going out so thought may as well take some photos of myself to make me feel good haha.

4. Myself and Nikki ready to go out for Kirsty's birthday. We went to Revs and had copious amounts of alcohol. Luckily though, I wasn't hungover the next day! Hurray! I had a good night and I was wearing my new shoes, which are not in the photo but I'm sure I can get a photograph of them for the next photo diary because they are beauts.

5. Links Market is just a big funfair and although I'm too babyish to go on any rides, I do like to gamble my money away on these machines! I actually won £3 on one though! AND I got candyfloss!

6. So we went into Tiger and noticed they were selling maraccas, and we just had to have them! Never had so much fun before!

7. My dissertation has been handed in!! Thank the lord! I think I've read over it so much that I actually hate it and I'm just hoping for a pass!! Just hope my supervisor likes it!

8. So obviously we had to celebrate our success and actually writing a dissertation. My friends and I went for cocktails during the day then at night we had far too much to drink. I was so hungover the next day that I physically couldn't move until about 6pm. I ordered a chinese by myself (sob). What a night.

9. We had one final day at University, where various people and companies came and talked to us about teaching and stuff. Kevin, one of our popular lecturers, gave us some top tips for teaching. Don't know if you can read them in the picture but they were all based around looking busy.

Cannot believe university is over. Can't wait to see what the future brings though! :)

PHOTO DIARY #6

Registered for Graduation- AHH! // Ombre Nails // My favourite french film! // Having fun in the library // Nikki with her dissertation poster // Feeling fancy with our wine // a letter my Mum found from me // my sister in a holiday brochure // my dissertation schedule.

Since placement finished life has gone by super fast! I've been spending a lot of time travelling between Edinburgh and home (in Fife), going to the library and shopping!

1. Registered for graduation! Absolutely terrifying!!  My robes and photographs have been ordered. Luckily my parents are paying for it but it is ridiculously expensive! My robes are light blue with a white fur trimming- oooh! At least blue matches my eyes!

2. Attempted ombre nails! Oh my goodness they were bloody tricky! To be honest, i think they look a lot better than I expected haha! Too much effort I'm afraid to keep that up though!

3. Le Choristes or The Chorus is the sweetest little film I have ever seen and I really couldn't recommend it enough! You can guess from the title what it is about and the songs they sing are just beautiful. LOVE IT.

4. Arriving at the library at 9am to find no one there is the perfect opportunity to take photos! Nikki is my best friend and motivator haha. We love the biblio!

5. Nikki posing with her poster that she made for her dissertation. Apparently it was soo good that it was put up for people attending the open day to view it. WHOOP WHOOP!

6. Seb and I drinking wine at the local student pub. Sometimes I never know what to drink. I love cider but it makes me so burpy. I love vodka but it's too strong and gives me horrific hangovers. So I opted for wine.

7.My Mum found this card I had written her when I was a wee girl. I just love that I wrote 'I like yous' instead of love haha.

8.My sister was in a holiday brochure. So was I but my picture is slightly more embarrassing considering I am completely sunburnt. We were cool kids.

9.Finally my dissertation schedule. I have two weeks until my due date (ha sound like I'm preggy). I had a meeting with my supervisor and I do need to work on my methodology and discussion chapters a bit more but I really do have a lot of time! Can't wait until it's over!

GOODBYE PLACEMENT

From January until March, I was on my final placement of University at a Primary School in Edinburgh. I'm now writing my dissertation and then after the summer I will be a teacher. How scary and grown up!

I thought I would document some of the cards and presents I received when I left the school. I can't believe how much stuff I received! I was literally in shock!

I love working with children. It is so rewarding! Can't wait to get my own class.
