Seb's Graduation

On the 1st of July, Seb finally graduated from Edinburgh Uni! Woohoo!
Here are some snaps from the day.

I wish I had put my shoes on for this photo! Look at Seb in his kilt - he loved wearing it!

Before his graduation just outside McEwan Hall.

Seb and the 2 ladies in his life.

 Inside McEwan Hall.

After his graduation with his degree!

I love the graduation robes! They make you feel like you're at Hogwarts.

We went to Old College for some photos. Perfect location for photos!

 Seb and his parents.

 Snap happy!

My Dad watched it at home and was able to print screen the exact moment Seb was 'hit' with the hat.

And that is that. Our University time is now over. We are now BOTH adults. Scary scary scary!!

Hot Dub Time Machine

For my birthday I had bought tickets to see a show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival called Hot Dub Time Machine. I've heard AMAZING things about it and when it comes to Edinburgh it usually sells out in hours so I grabbed my chance to go see it.

On their website it describes Hot Dub as, "Hot Dub Time Machine is the World’s First Time Travelling Dance Party, taking Festivals around the world on an epic, audio-visual journey through music history. Happy, sweaty ‘Hot-dubbers’ everywhere agree: the is the Best. Party. EVER."

Basically I was told it is a DJ who plays the best songs from 1954-2014. So did it live up the hype? I thought it was very fun and I loved most of the songs - although the DJ had a tendency to play a lot of rap which wasn't very dubby to me but maybe I'm just getting old? I would probably go back again but it wasn't the best party ever. I don't know what was missing? Maybe I had hyped it up too much that it couldn't exceed my expectations? I'm not sure but it was definitely a fun night.

Here are some photos from my birthday:

My birthday cake. I'll never grow up!

Me and Nikki before Hot Dub.

 I have drunk eyes!

Before Hot Dub, we went to a bar called Bar Bados. Yes that is real sand. Only nice on beaches.

Hot Dub - 99 Red balloons!

The DJ plus Britney Spears - must be the 90s!

My favourite song from the evening.

Overall I had a really good night out. It's not like your usual club night and I think there is something for everyone there!

Commonwealth Games

As you may already know, the Commonwealth Games came to Glasgow! I'm not from Glasgow but I had to get my hands on tickets seeing as it will probably never be back in my country in my lifetime and I can't be bothered travelling any further to see it ha!

I had applied for loads of tickets and at first I was told I was unsuccessful. Absolutely gutted but then they released more tickets and I ended up grabbing Rhythmic Gymnastics and Athletics. Whoop - excited!

But let's talk about the Opening Ceremony

Full of cliches and things that only Scottish people will find funny. I think for the rest of the world they were thinking WTF haha! I don't mind John Barrowman but c'mon he's only Scottish when he wants to be! My fave moment was definitely the dancing Tunnocks Teacakes! My fave biscuits!!

My two favourite moments throughout the whole competition happened at the Tollcross Swimming Centre.

Ross Murdoch beating rival Michael Jamieson to win Gold was just so heartwarming. Look at his little face on the podium, trying his best not to cry.

Erraid Davies who became the youngest ever medal winner at the games. She won bronze but she was so chuffed with her achievements that she became a winner in everyone's eyes. Such a cutie.

Now time for my own photos!

 Patriotic nails!

Beautiful sunny day outside the Hydro for the Gymnastics.

Work that ribbon girl!

 Mens 400m heats.

We got to watch a medal ceremony!! England won so Seb was really happy!

Look - Scots and Englishmen can get along!!

Such a great atmosphere at both events!! Loved it!
