PHOTO DIARY #9: LONDON

Trafalgar Square // No one mourns the WICKED // Good Morning Queenie!! // Big Ben! // Tower Bridge // St Pauls // Les Miserables!!! // THE BEST SHOW EVER // Cheat of the day = some donuts.

My trip to London was the only holiday I had booked so far this year...and it was AMAZING!! I would actually move there if it weren't for the fact that it is so expensive and SO BIG AND SCARY.

1. I went with my friend Nikki and we were super lucky because the weather was gorgeous! Blue skies every day! Thing is, the sun was shining but it wasn't too hot so I didn't feel like I was burning or dying haha! On our first day we got to London about 1pm and we couldn't check in til 3pm and our hotel was pretty central (Covent Garden) so we just decided to go for a little walk around Trafalgar Square and up towards Oxford Street (super hard with suitcases!).

2. After we had checked in, we went to Victoria and had some dinner at Cafe Rouge (Usually love the restaurant but I've had better!) then we went to see Wicked!! On the way there we walked past the stage door and the leading man (Ben Freeman who plays Fiyero) ran into me!! That was my only celebrity spotting in London! So yeah I've seen Wicked before but Nikki hadn't. Not really much to say apart from it is still amazing!! I love the stage design, especially the dragon at the top! Plus this time round I actually knew all the words to the songs! Love it!

3. Our 2nd day was all about the tourists spots! We got up super early and started off at Buckingham Palace which looked stunning in the sun! We felt so cool having our breakfast in Green Park! We then walked along a road and found ourselves outside the Guards Museum where a Guards band were practising playing songs. They played the Great Escape which was so random but actually hilarious! Probably my favourite moment from the whole holiday.

4. After that we kept on walking and found ourselves at Big Ben where we spent a lot of time taking photos and acting like tourists. Westminster Abbey is right next door so we had a look at that too. HOWEVER, it was £17 to get into it! I was actually shocked!!

5. We had some lunch at Pizza Express and then decided to go to London Bridge and we were like amazed to see it actually open for a boat to pass through!! We then carried on our walk and ended up at St Paul's Cathedral. I actually wonder how much we walked altogether.

6. That night we had tickets to Les Miserables. OMG. IT WAS AMAZING!! We were literally touching the roof of the theatre but still I think we had an amazing view! The cast were all amazing however I don't think Marius was as strong as he could have been!!

7. The next day was our last day and we just spent it walking down Oxford Street until it was time to get our train back to the airport. In Scotland there is only one Krispy Kreme shop and it's mobbed constantly. So to our surprise there was a stall at the airport that was empty so we grabbed our chance and had some delicious donuts!

Oops this was longer than I expected it to be! Anyway I love London. Hoping to save up for New York and LA next year!!
